Current accounts are usually non-interest bearing deposit accounts which are designated to perform day-to-day banking transactions: money can be withdrawn from a current account or deposited to such an account without any restrictions. To facilitate the banking transactions, current accounts are as a rule provided together with payment cards (debit or credit cards). Moreover, current accounts are often offered with overdraft possibility: the account holder can keep withdrawing money from the account even when the account has no funds or the funds are not enough to cover the withdrawal.
